Poorna Prajna Public School , Vasant Kunj , New Delhi celebrated its Founder’s Day on 11th July 2024 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The galaxy of guests had Dr.Vijayaditya, Hon.Secretary, Managing Committee, PPPS, Dr. D. Madhusudhan Rao, Member Managing Committee, PPPS, School Director, Academics , Madam Praveen Bala, Vice Principal Ms Anju Singh and Chief guest for the day Dr. M.S. Shashi Kumar , Scientist E , Ministry of Science and Technology.
Day began with Science and Maths exhibition in physics laboratory. All the dignitaries visited the exibition and keenly observed the exhibits in conversation with the students. Event was followed in school auditorium , where programme commenced with lamp lighting ceremony, seeking blessings of Founder Father,
His Holiness Sri Vibudhesha Teertha Swami Ji. Then Chief Guest Dr. M. S. Shashi Kumar was welcomed by Dr. Vijayaditya with a plant. Then students of class VI to VIII presented a patriotic song enthralling the audience with their melodious notes. Then school remembered its Founder Father cherishing his values and vision. A video on Swamiji’s journey of life was shared with the audience. Next chief guest Dr. M. S. Shashi Kumar addressed the gathering. He highlighted the role of Science and technology in life and motivated students to go for usage of science and technology for betterment of people .Then came up students of classes VI to Vlll with a Yoga presentation. They performed different asanas, mesmerising the audience .
Next came much anticipated Founder Father Scholarship which is awarded to the students for scoring highest marks in English and Science for two consecutive years .This year it was awarded to Aditri Suman and Shivani Das of X C. Winners received a Momento and a prize of Rs.10000 each. Highlight of the event was E-Booklet release on Sustainable Development Goals. School proudly launched its first edition of E- Booklet on Sustainable development goals prepared by a team of teachers and students, sensitizing it’s students and readers towards the need to save mother Earth. Then Vice Principal , Ms Anju Singh proposed vote of thanks. Next came students of classes IV and V, with their motivational rendition on “Together we can change the world” .It was followed by grand finale by all the participants. Programme ended with School song followed by National anthem.
It was a day filled with nostalgia, anticipation and unwavering commitment to live up to the values and vision of our Founder Father.
